In 2003, I was honored to receive the official Certificate of Merit from the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, conferred through the Department of Public Libraries under the Ministry of Cultural Affairs. The recognition was part of the national initiative titled “Library Year 2003” a government program aimed at promoting education, reading habits, and intellectual development among students and young citizens across the country.
As part of this national celebration, I participated in the Inter-School and College-Level Extempore Speech Competition, which brought together talented students from various educational institutions nationwide. The competition tested participants’ abilities to think critically, express ideas spontaneously, and communicate effectively on diverse social, cultural, and educational topics of national importance.
Through my performance, I demonstrated a strong command of language, analytical thinking, and confident public speaking skills qualities that earned me the Certificate of Merit as a mark of distinction and excellence among numerous participants.
This achievement not only recognized my individual talent and communication skills but also encouraged my lifelong passion for knowledge sharing, public communication, and civic engagement. It remains a meaningful milestone in my early academic and personal development, reflecting my dedication to intellectual growth and my ability to contribute thoughtfully to public discourse.
