In recognition of my professional excellence and commitment to ethical journalism, I was awarded the ASTHA Journalist Fellowship on 5 December 2019, organized by Ain o Salish Kendra (ASK) in collaboration with the Kingdom of the Netherlands and the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA). During the fellowship, I underwent extensive training on gender-sensitive reporting, with a focus on understanding gender stereotypes, gender-based violence (GBV), related legal and multi sectoral services. I was actively participated in workshops and field visits, gaining firsthand insights into the experiences of GBV survivors and applying this knowledge to produce impactful journalistic work. This fellowship stands as a testament of my dedication to promoting gender equality, human rights, and social justice through responsible and informed journalism.
